Panel Discussion: Compassionate Leadership (Jan 29th, 2021)

Our panelists for this upcoming panel of discussion are Marta Bengoa, who is a well-known PhD Economist based in New York, Moritz Ulrich owner of the Jivamukti Yoga Centre - Peace Yoga Berlin, Germany and Olga Oskorbina Founder of the Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona, Spain.This Panel will be moderated by Jivamukti Yoga Global CEO, Hari Mulukutla and will be offered on January 29th at 9am PST/ 12pm EST/6pm CET. Our topic of discussion is Inclusive Leadership , where we will be discussing what environment supports team members to feel welcomed and included at their workplace and the role of proper leadership to support this atmosphere. We would like to highlight the awareness, sensitivity, and behaviors that encourage everyone to feel that their presence and contribution are valued.

Dr. Marta Bengoa is an economist at the Colin Powell School, a Professor of Economics at the City University of New York (CUNY-CCNY). She is also a Professor at the South African Research Chair in Industrial Development (SARChI) at the University of Johannesburg. She serves as a Senior Fellow at CIRANO data lab in Montreal and in the Institute of International Economics at University Jaume I (Spain). Currently, she is the Executive Vice-President of the International Trade and Finance Association in the U.S. Most of her research is ininternational economics, trade, growth and innovation. Moritz Ulrich has been a yoga teacher for over 15 years including being a part of the international Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Trainings as a mentor, facilitator, sanskrit and anatomy teacher. Being the co - director and owner of the Jivamukti Yoga Centre - Peace Yoga Berlin together with his husband Niklas and having worked for multiple yoga schools teaching thousands of classes he has lots of personal experience when it comes to leadership concepts from different perspectives. 

Olga Oskorbina is the founder and director of Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona. With a strong background in meditation her ability to conduct the energetic environment of a yoga class is unique and profound. She has a clear and concise method of teaching, allowing space for introversion in the practice. With a strong interest in all elements of yoga she continues to study and practice with great enthusiasm. Weaving these attributes together she presents students with a very comprehensive and nourishing experience of Jivamukti Yoga in Barcelona and globally participating as a facilitator and teacher at Jivamukti global. She has a unique leadership approach that led her studio to become one of the most successful yoga studios in Barcelona embracing an international experience in the soul of downtown.
